DYE SPECIFICATIONS
Uses a reactive dye to avoid color mixing during washings.
The reactive dye is a type of organic substances highly colored, used in most cases in textile dying, which join to the clothe by a chemical reaction, creating a covalent link between fiber and dye molecule. Dye transforms itself in a part of the fiber, which mades less probable being removed during the washing than dyes sticked by absorption.
The first fiber-reactive dyes were designed for cellulose fibers, and are still used in this way. There are also fiber-reactive dyes commercial dyes for proteine and polyamide fibers. In theory, there are fiber-reactive dyes developed for other fibers, but these are not commercially practical. The dyes contain a reactive group which, when applied in a fiber by an alcaline bath, form a chemical link with the fiber. Reactive dyes can be used to dye wool and nylon, in that last case under weak acid conditions.
WASHING
